Go Forth: Salvete, amici! :D

latin-student-problems:

Sorry I’ve been MIA for the last week or so. Truth is, I’ve been totally swamped packing/flipping out/doing homework in advance so I could visit my wonderful boyfriend Sam (spidersam639) in Pittsburgh. He didn’t know I was coming, so I couldn’t post a message on…

grabmyhandcomrade:

You’re boyfriend is a brony/weeaboo. You are an insult to the great language of Rome.

On LSP, we don’t discriminate against people based on what they like or what they enjoy. Sam is a brony because I introduced him, and he’s not a weeaboo, but I would love him still if he was. He’s my favorite person on the planet and I don’t understand why his likes and fan bases make ME an insult to Latin. If you’re trying to say that his personality is a reflection of myself, then find a better insult. Sam is amazing, and I’d pick being an insult to Latin in a second over distancing myself from him in any way.

why is your theme brown?

Because the gods willed it to be so.

(I just like it)

This only happens to me every day.

Reading myths. Happens to me all the time.

I have no idea why my queue is vomiting the same picture over and over again. Clearly the gods are upset with my shoddy wifi connection.

disneytrivia:

At the beginning of Hercules, Hermes delivers a bouquet of flowers to Hera. Hermes (Mercury to the Romans) is a registered trademark of FTD Florists.

Also, When Hermes gives her the flowers, he says, “I had Orpheus do the arrangement. Isn’t that nutty?” The joke here is in the double use for the word “arrangement” - as in “floral arrangement” and “musical arrangement”. In Greek mythology, Orpheus is known as “the father of songs”.
